A Superior Soil Additive Product
Our pine substrate is not a by-product of a bagging operation, utilizing waste material which is unsuitable to be bagged as mulch. We process and screen our material to meet particle size and physical properties which are beneficial for greenhouse and nursery container growing. Our fines are aged to perfection and are ¾ inch and smaller in size for aeration and water holding capacity. We also offer complete nursery mixes with different percentages of high fiber peat moss and lime to meet the requirements for nursery and perennial crops. All the labor of mixing is on us. Just fill your pots and plant!
MATERIAL STABILITY
We check the pH and EC of the finished product on a regular basis to assure that the product you are using is stable and ready for use. Aged material is not always stable if not aged properly.
VOLUME ACCURACY
During loading, a quality control person records the bucket count and the weight of the volume of the product calculated against the count to assure that you receive the amount that is on the load ticket. All trucks are loaded to the legal maximum gross weight.
BULK DENSITY
Our pine bark is aged in a coarse form and is screened for size at the time of shipment yielding pine fines without the fine particles which only fill air space. This process allows us to provide you with container bark that has high aeration for plant growth and enables us to put more product on a truck, especially now when freight is at a premium in cost and availability.
Our raw material is procured from selected mills in the region of our facility. If the raw material does not meet our standards it is rejected and bought by our competitors.
